What's in a Game? : Gaming 101 for Librarians
Students are talking about Dungeons and Dragons, rolling dice online, and high level board games in more and more libraries. There’s one hang up: not all librarians are “game-y,” or gamers. Learn basics of gaming to connect with students, provide a safe space, build community, and help students practice critical thinking and collaboration while gaming. Learn enough to keep up conversation with most gamer students (you’ll understand the Crit Roll 20 memes after this!).
Presented by: Ruth Neely, Sewickley Academy
